OUR PHILOSOPHY

Young Children (Kea’s)

2.5 – 3.5 years old

Our area for Young Children is a flexible and fun environment. Special areas of interest for both planned and spontaneous play have been developed inside and outside, tailor-made for this naturally curious age group.

There are separate eating and sleeping areas for children. A large outdoor area with grass, raised gardens, a playhouse and a large sandpit is accessible for fresh air and exploratory play.

We focus on providing opportunities for children to practice social interactions and build friendships with their peers. We encourage the development of communication skills and learning in an environment especially developed for children’s needs. Interesting, age-appropriate resources are provided for children to play and interact with.

Teachers support and provide opportunities for children to be independent and to gain confidence.

OUR FEES

  • From $5.00 per hour
  • Maximum $250.00 for the week
  • Nappies provided free of charge
  • Lunches provided free of charge (except Fridays which is our lunchbox day and is provided by home)
  • FREE 20 ECE hours for 3 & 4 years olds (up to 6 hours per day and 20 hours per week) – no additional charges
  • WINZ subsidies for eligible families.

I like how the teachers take time every day to tell me what my child has been up to, and I like their use of Facebook so I can see what they have been doing too. Would highly recommend Village Kids Napier, my daughters in home carer finished late last year so I decided to leave finding a new day care until the beginning of the year.
