My name is Janine Higgins, or J.J as I am often referred to and I am the Napier Centre Manager. I have lived in Gisborne for the past 20 years with my husband and two teenage sons and have recently relocated to Hawke's Bay.

    Building strong relationships with children and whanau is an important part of Amanda's practice. She feels strongly about teaching and learning in a fun and interactive way through following and extending children's interests.

      Hanna is passionate about children and enjoys being part of their learning and development. She constantly strives for the very best for children, listening to and responding to them in ways that are respectful to them. Hanna is committed to and encourages others to be advocates for the children in our care.

        My name is Mel and I was born in Hawkes Bay. I believe in children experiencing hands-on learning. Art and messy play is one area I really value, as well as the importance of whānau relationships in the centre.

          Ange has been teaching in early childhood for 20 years and has a passion for literacy and books, and incorporates this into her teaching of preschoolers.

            Lynley has been with Village Kids since we opened in Napier in 2000, and loves being part of a diverse, focused and amazing team of teachers and support staff. She feels strongly about ensuring that not only the children but their family/whanau are supported in our Centre.

                Marilyn is one of the Directors of Village kids Childcare Centre Ltd. Village Kids opened its doors in June 1992 and since then Marilyn has worked in partnership with parents to ensure that Village Kids continues to offer a service that meets the needs of it families.

                  OUR FEES

                  • From $5.00 per hour
                  • Maximum $250.00 for the week
                  • Nappies provided free of charge
                  • Lunches provided free of charge (except Fridays which is our lunchbox day and is provided by home)
                  • FREE 20 ECE hours for 3 & 4 years olds (up to 6 hours per day and 20 hours per week) – no additional charges
                  • WINZ subsidies for eligible families.
