OUR PHILOSOPHY

Village Kids Napier Centre

We are situated in Onekawa and offer full time and part time care.

Our Napier Centre is divided into 4 separate specialised learning environments, each designed to cater to children’s individual needs. Each environment is led by a qualified Head Teacher, backed up by a small team of dedicated qualified or in-training teachers to support your child’s learning.

  • Infants area (Gecko’s) for children aged birth to approximately 18 months old
  • Toddler area (Kiwi’s) has been designed especially for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years old
  • Young Children’s area (Kea’s) for children aged approximately 2.5 to 3.5 years old
  • Preschool area (Tuataras) for children over 3.5 years old, until school-going age

Our teachers respect and support children’s individual interests and routines, encouraging children to be confident and competent learners.

At Village Kids we value learning! Exploring nature, unlocking creativity, developing numeracy and literacy skills, investigating science, and having loads of fun while doing it all are only some of the many things that children attending our Centres learn.

OUR FEES

  • From $5.00 per hour
  • Maximum $250.00 for the week
  • Nappies provided free of charge
  • Lunches provided free of charge (except Fridays which is our lunchbox day and is provided by home)
  • FREE 20 ECE hours for 3 & 4 years olds (up to 6 hours per day and 20 hours per week) – no additional charges
  • WINZ subsidies for eligible families.

I like how the teachers take time every day to tell me what my child has been up to, and I like their use of Facebook so I can see what they have been doing too. Would highly recommend Village Kids Napier, my daughters in home carer finished late last year so I decided to leave finding a new day care until the beginning of the year.
