Our aim is for teachers to work in partnership with parents/whanau to provide a warm, caring, nurturing atmosphere that follows the routines from home as closely as possible. Village Kids endeavours to become an extension of your family so your child can feel safe, secure and happy within our centre.

All children under 18 months are assigned a Primary caregiver to help them form a trusting attachment to their teacher. From this trusting relationship with teachers, infants and toddlers are able to develop a sense of belonging and empowerment within the centre. Infants and toddlers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace and time while exploring a well designed child friendly, safe environment.

The outside environment is enhanced with attractive flower gardens, mosaics paths, spacious verandas and lawn. Teachers follow the children’s individual rhythm for sleeping and eating during their day. Teachers document important care information in each child’s notebook daily.
